About the role
This position is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, counseling, training, and administering employee programs, including benefits. Acts as a primary contact for the HR department, representing Leviton professionally.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the recruitment process: job postings, resume review, interviewing, reference checks, offer letters and all onboarding.
- Responsible for processing transfers, promotions, performance counseling, terminations and exit interviews.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, recommend and implement new company policies, procedures, and processes in accordance with the law.
- Facilitate and oversee performance management process; provide feedback and/or recommendations to management on employee performance evaluations.
- Partner with management to provide employee relations counseling and supervisor/manager coaching.
- Maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of employee information and files.
- Spearhead Human Resources programs, events and activities.
- Facilitate and/or develop employee training programs working with Corporate HR team to implement.
- Monitor the Applicant Tracking System.
- Create reports: turnover, new hire, Workers Compensation, EEO, Vets100, etc., and compiles data as required.
- Oversee office administrative functions as required.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and uphold high ethical standards and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and multi-task.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Kronos is a plus
Education & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent in business or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience is required.
- Working knowledge of employment law, federal and state regulations.
- Must have experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems.
