LEW Environmental is seeking a part-time Human Resources Associate to assist with all aspects of Human Resources. Formed in 1991, we are one of the oldest and most experienced environmental consulting, remediation and training companies in the country. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Takes a proactive and creative approach to staffing and onboarding; develops and executes best practices for hiring and retaining talent
· Coordinates with Managers on all HR Related matters from employee vacation utilization to constructive discipline
· Oversees all HR policies and procedures
· Ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, updates policies and practices to maintain compliance
· Communicate HR policies, programs, and initiatives effectively to all levels of the organization
· Manages employee benefits, short- and long-term disability, and unemployment
· Manage human resources metrics such as headcount, vacation and PTO
· Processes employee payroll
Qualifications:
· 3 years of payroll and/or HR experience
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve
· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as on a team
· Strong organizational skills and ability to establish and manage multiple priorities
· Strong computer and technical skills
This is an in-office position, located in Mine Hill NJ. Pay range is between $25.00 - $30.00/hour, about 25 hours a week.
