Lewis & Clark Ford is a leading automotive dealership committed to providing excellent customer service and high-quality vehicles. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to lead our service department and help us continue to exceed customer expectations.

Position Overview:
As the Service Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our service department, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. You will manage a team of technicians, service advisors, and other staff, while maintaining a smooth workflow, maximizing efficiency, and ensuring the department meets financial and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the service department, including service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Ensure that all customer concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee repair orders, service appointments, and customer vehicle pick-up and delivery.
  • Monitor department performance metrics and work to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Provide leadership and training to staff to enhance their technical skills and customer service abilities.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to ensure that customers’ vehicle service needs are met.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by consistently delivering exceptional service.
  • Manage service department budgets, parts inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Stay current on manufacturer updates, recalls, and technical bulletins.
  • Trains, motivates, counsels and monitors the performance of all service department staff.
  • Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
  • Accounts for all documents; ensures that none are missing and all are processed correctly
  • Holds weekly department meetings
  • Directs and schedules the activities of all department employees.
  • Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts manager to ensure availability.
  • Monitors technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive service processes and industry best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of dealership management software and systems.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
