Qualifications
We are looking for an Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join the technology practice at top law firm. The candidate will be a resident in either the New York or Washington, DC office.
- Candidates should have strong transactional experience drafting and negotiating technology transaction agreements with an emphasis on payment acceptance terms; due diligence and drafting of mergers/acquisitions agreements.
- Experience and familiarity with compliance and issue-spotting on various consumer-facing financial sector regulatory issues, such as Gramm Leach Bliley, Fair Credit Reporting Act/FACTA, Truth in Lending Act.
- In addition, the candidate must have familiarity with general consumer protection rules, including state data breach rules and drafting of notification letters, data privacy/security matters.
- Familiarity with or willingness to become more familiar with money transmission and blockchain and/or digital currency issues is a plus.

The candidate must possess strong academic credentials, excellent legal research and superb writing and oral communications skills.
