Lewis Brisbois is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer who will report to the Chief Information Officer.
The Senior Systems Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex IT infrastructure to meet organizational needs. This individual is responsible for overseeing system architecture, ensuring system performance, and driving scalability and security enhancements. They collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies, troubleshoot advanced technical issues, and optimize system operations.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
The following list of essential functions is not exhaustive and other duties may be assigned in addition to those listed. The items listed are considered daily functions associated with this position.
- Microsoft Infrastructure Design and Deployment: Architect and implement solutions using Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services to meet organizational needs.
- Azure Cloud Integration: Develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services using Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and storage solutions.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Oversee and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) to ensure seamless collaboration and productivity across the organization.
- Windows Server Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Active Directory and Identity Management: Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, and identity solutions such as Azure AD, including implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- System Security and Compliance: Enhance security by implementing Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Azure Security Center, and other Microsoft security tools. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Automation and Scripting: Leverage PowerShell and other scripting tools to automate routine tasks, manage system configurations, and streamline processes.
- Hybrid Environments: Design and manage hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises systems with Azure and other cloud services.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft-based solutions and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain detailed documentation for Microsoft environments, system processes, and technology road maps, ensuring alignment with best practices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with system performance tuning, security, and compliance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools and administration.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering is strongly preferred
- 5 Years: Proven professional experience in system engineering or IT roles, with a strong background in Microsoft technologies (Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, etc.). Preferably in a legal services environment
- Experience designing and managing complex IT environments, including on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid setups.
