Duties and Responsibilities
· Plan and execute Beautiful Downtown Lewiston (BDL) events, including Ladies Day Out, Sound Downtown, Disney Celebration, Downtown Artwalk, and Pumpkin Palooza.
· On-site supervision of event set up, operation, and clean up.
· Manage the BDL Events Committee.
· Secure sponsorships for events and other downtown improvements.
· Coordinate, recruit, and retain volunteers.
· Update the CEO and board of event planning and downtown developments.
· Attend Committee meetings for the Main Street America program facets.
· Guide committees to accomplish their goals and motivate members to contribute to the organization’s work.
· Provide a significant “on the street” presence downtown, meeting with businesses, property owners, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
· Experience with Microsoft Office and social media
· Strong organizational skills
· Detail-oriented and a problem-solver
· Outstanding verbal and written communication
· Excellent customer and interpersonal skills
· Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
· Availability for evening and weekend work, plus occasional travel
Qualifications
· Experience in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with a variety of community stakeholders.
· Ideal candidates should have a degree from four-year college or university.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 32 per week
