LC State invites applications for the position of Financial Technician.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $18.00 per hour (.75 fte)
Required Qualifications:
- Bookkeeping or general office experience
- Knowledge of accounting practices
- Experience in financial record keeping, filing, and tracking
- Customer service background and good customer service skills
- Experience using Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Researching and compiling financial information and preparing summaries and reports
- Using personal computers to enter, retrieve, and edit financial data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, TEAMS)
- Background in the Accounts Payable area (vendor invoices, purchase orders, payments)
- Working with a mid to high-end accounting software (Colleague, Banner, other ERP)
- Working with large volumes of transactions
Responsibilities:
- Processing accounts payable
- Reconciling vendor statements and records
- Tracking vendor invoices and payments
- Assist in the Independent Contractor process
- 1099 form preparation
- Other general office procedures
- Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
