LC State invites applications for the position of Library Section Coordinator.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $49,743
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with budget oversight
- Knowledge of library policies, procedures, and industry best practices
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with an Academic Library.
- Experience with budget oversight, purchasing, and financial tracking in alignment with the State of Idaho policies and procedures
- Knowledge of student worker supervision and circulation services
- Experience with interlibrary loan processes and systems
- Familiarity with maintaining library facilities and equipment
- Knowledge of data reporting and collaboration with library leadership
- Knowledge of Colleague, WebNow, and F9.
Responsibilities:
- Budget & Financial Oversight: Monitor library budgets, purchasing, and financial tracking in compliance with State of Idaho policies and procedures.
- Circulation & Student Supervision: Assist with supervising student workers in circulation services, providing training and support to ensure smooth daily operations and strong public service.
- Interlibrary Loan (ILL): Facilitate interlibrary loan services, coordinating borrowing and lending through established platforms and ensuring timely fulfillment.
- Facilities & Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the care and upkeep of library spaces and equipment, addressing maintenance issues as they arise to maintain a functional and welcoming environment.
- Data Reporting & Collaboration: Compile operational data and contribute to strategic planning through regular collaboration with library leadership.
- Cataloging & Processing: Perform original and copy cataloging of library materials; process new acquisitions to ensure they are shelf-ready and properly integrated into the collection.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Adapt to dynamic library needs by supporting various roles and responsibilities beyond the core duties.
- Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
