Job Overview
The Lewis County Assessor’s Office is now hiring for two full time positions.
These positions will be 5 days per week - Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position includes full benefits – Medical, Dental, Vision, PERSI Retirement, and Life Insurance. Vacation and sick days are accrued monthly. Starting pay depends on overall computer experience and customer service background.
Our office is responsible for assessing property values within Lewis County, and mailing notices to landowners each June. Basic computer knowledge, and the ability to learn new programs is necessary for success at this job. Landowners will call with a variety of questions throughout the year regarding property value and basic information.
The secondary function is the DMV. We process customer titles and registrations through a computer system provided to our office by the Idaho Transportation Department. It requires attention to detail, and being able to process transactions in a timely manner.
Qualified applicants need to have excellent customer service skills, the ability to pay attention to detail, learn new computer programs, be able to balance cash and count change, file documents, and the ability to work as a team player.
There may be training requirements that would require overnight stays and/or travel to and from places like Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Moscow, or Lewiston.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.50 per hour
