Lewis Planned Communities, a part of the Lewis Group of Companies, one of the largest privately owned real estate developers in the nation, is actively seeking a Manager, Land Acquisition for its fast-growing Northern California Division located in Sacramento.

As our new team member, you will effectively manage multiple initiatives with a focus on the process of acquisition of land for development of planned communities, multi-family, and retail projects.
Reporting to our Vice President and Managing Director of Land Acquisition, some of your work will include:
- Performing detailed project feasibility analysis for the development of land in California
- Evaluating entitlement and development processes, budgets, cash flows, market research, and supporting technical information to support acquisition initiatives.
- Coordinating and conducting due diligence activities with Vice President, internal Lewis team members and outside consultants.
- Being an “out of the box” thinker with a passion for collaboration and operating in a team environment are essential candidate traits.
- Traveling within Northern California to visit land sites and company projects.
Experience for your success:
- Previous work experience with homebuilders, land developers, or development-related consulting firms.
- Preparation of entitlement and development budgets and cash flows
- Planning and zoning regulations
- Infrastructure design and construction processes
- Technical proficiency and processing of basic due diligence items such as geotechnical, environmental, biological, and cultural studies
- Agency fee and market research and analysis
- Purchase and sale agreements.
- Title and escrow processes
- Reporting preparation at the executive and project level
- Strong verbal/written communication skills and proficient in public speaking
- Skilled in Excel, Word, Project, and practical application of LLMs.
Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in real estate development, business, economics or civil engineering is a plus.
