POSITION: Assistant Controller (Account Manager) – Family Office
LOCATION: Woodland Hills, CA
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time
A diversified family office based in Woodland Hills – with investments spanning private equity, agriculture, entertainment, and a broad portfolio of asset classes – is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join its team. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with business management or public accounting experience who values a work/life balance. $120k - $140k
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assisting in the management of all aspects of the family office business, personal and financial affairs
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- General ledger review
- Record monthly postings of interest/dividends/sales/purchases/payroll transactions and brokerage statement activity and reconcile to the general ledger
- Oversee and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and file quarterly sales tax returns/annual business and agricultural property statements/annual city business licenses and permits/specialty financial reports
- Corporate activities – prepare and file California Statements of Information/Delaware Corporate Reports
- Oversee DMV registrations of our vehicle fleet.
- Oversee and manage telephone/internet accounts and multiple credit card accounts
- Assist in gathering source documents for entity tax return preparation
- Review and monitor payroll postings to the general ledger/breakdown medical insurance payments and postings between entities/enter and manage Cal Savers and Cobra activity
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7-10 years of accounting/bookkeeping/finance experience in Business Management and/or Family Office
- BS in Accounting
- SAGE INTACCT/Excel/Word experience is essential
- Excellent accounting and bookkeeping skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a small team environment

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
