Job Description
The Maintenance Specialist functions as an expert on facility systems and building operations. The Specialist is responsible for general grounds and facility maintenance, must have an understanding of mechanics, carpentry, and plumbing. Candidates must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and submit to motor vehicle and background checks.
Required schedule: The Maintenance Specialist is scheduled for 25 hours/week, typically five days per week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Performs routine maintenance of facility including painting, carpentry, and general repairs
- Performs routine maintenance of grounds including mowing, weed eating, and landscaping
- Assists with electric, plumbing systems maintenance and repairs
- Distributes donations to departments and designated storage
- Completes donation pick-ups as necessary
- Ensures manufacturer maintenance schedules are followed
- Assists with maintaining drain systems
- Assists with maintenance of filters and HVAC units
- Assists with company vehicle maintenance and repair
- Assists with cleaning kennels as necessary
- Assists Groundskeeper with routine snow removal and salting as needed
- Assists with daily punch list items and current projects
- Performs specialized tasks as directed
- Completes all maintenance activities consistent with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
