Position Title : Coordinator of Staffing, Credentialing, and Alternative Programs Department : Director of Human Resources
Reports To : Director of Human Resources Administrative Pay Grade 6 - 240 days

GENERAL SUMMARY :
Under supervision of the Director of Human Resources, performs technical work related to certification and licensure programs for certified and support staff. Advises certified staff on state requirements needed to maintain certification and provides direction to educators and administrators regarding certification status. Works in tandem with the Coordinator of Employee Capacity to enhance and provide exceptional customer service that is instructionally focused on staffing and certification, which includes professional development along with coaching, training, growth opportunities and placement. Along with the HR Department, assures, implements, and evaluates consistent plans for employee growth and evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Coordinates and implements district in house alternative path to certification for those wishing to obtain teaching certification and work as a teacher in the district
- Evaluates professional personnel transcripts, experience, and applications to determine appropriate certification
- Coordinates / screens / offers employment assistance through onboarding protocols for certified support staff (excluding administration)
- Ensures all certified / teaching staff meets and attains proper certification in a timely manner in compliance with accreditation and certification requirements
- Reviews, processes, and submits renewals for certification (comprehensive formative evaluation ) to the State Department of Education
- Monitors, and disseminates all renewal cycle data and status to supervisors
- Coordinates evaluator training for continued growth
- Monitors student teacher direct placements / internships for Lexington School District Two in cooperation with school principals and university field placement
- Visits schools and teachers to ensure support and provide timely feedback
- Implements annual evaluation protocols for staff (certified and support)
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS :
Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate and administrative certification, preferably secondary

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical inference.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
