Are you looking to join an industry-leading sales organization? Our strategic civilian sales team focuses on retaining existing revenue, generating new business within existing accounts and new business acquisition.
About the job:
The Government Sales Executive serves as the primary new business leader for Civilian markets at the Federal level.
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Developing and executing account strategies to acquire new business in the Federal Civilian Market. Developing new accounts within assigned Federal agencies.
- Collaborating with Prospects, Partners, and Internal Business Owners to include Channel, Marketing, Solution Architecture, and Capture.
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of government procurement procedures and guidelines to ensure that the organization's sales initiatives are fully compliant.
- Regularly reviewing pipeline opportunities and providing updates in Salesforce. Informing prospects of product/service to help them meet their strategic objectives.
- Working individually and within a team to develop acquisition plans and execute successfully. Providing accurate monthly forecasting in conjunction with input from business development.
- Maintaining a proficient understanding and knowledge of our solutions. Leading demonstrations, presentations, and explanations of solutions in conjunction with the technical team.
- Attending industry conferences and events and representing our company as a thought leader.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience.
- 5 years of proven success selling into Federal government agencies.
- Detail oriented, demonstrated strong organizational skills, and the demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate via all available channels. Strong negotiation skills and good business sense.
- Strong and consistent performance at meeting or exceeding sales objectives and quotas.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time outside of the DC area.
