Our client, Lexitas Legal Talent Outsourcing, is a well-established boutique law firm in the Northern Virginia area. They specialize in elder law, estate planning, special needs law, and resolution of disputes involving estate/trust matters, fiduciary duties, and guardianships/conservatorships.
As an Estate Planning Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a Litigation Attorney, handling matters ranging from factual research, cite checking, acquiring and assembling records, scheduling of court hearings, drafting and coordinating document production. This position requires all substantive functions in the litigation practice area that do not require a law degree, including organizing and maintaining files (both electronic and paper), and fully utilizing the firm's case and client relationship management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing, organizing, and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
- Managing email correspondence for attorneys.
- Coordination of court appearances and hearings for all parties involved.
- Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss case details.
- Drafting simple correspondence, pleadings, petitions, affidavits, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years' experience in a litigation department.
