UCC Paralegal

AmLaw 100 Firm in the financial district of New York is seeking a UCC Paralegal to provide support to attorneys in providing legal services to clients in all aspects of the Uniform Commercial Code. This is a hybrid position, working three days in the office.

Salary range is $70k - $125k, commensurate with experience level and market. Full benefit package, discretionary bonus, and potential overtime.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct due diligence UCC/lien searches, review lien search results and prepare lien summary charts
• Review underlying agreements and draft UCC Financing Statements in accordance with jurisdictional requirements as well as recommended practices of the Firm
• Coordinate with attorneys and vendors to continually monitor UCC financing statement status throughout the filing process
• Coordinate and review UCC Post Filing Searches to confirm correct indexing of UCC Financing Statements
• Maintain the Firm’s UCC document management system in compliance with the Firm’s post-closing procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least (2) years of work experience with UCC filings
• Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under tight deadlines
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Ability to work in a diverse team environment to effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
