Summary:
Compiles and maintains accounts payable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
Also prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
Answers all vendor inquiries.
Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
Prepares accounts payable checks.
Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
Assists in monthly closings.
Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to satisfaction. Applicant must possess a minimum of the following: High School Diploma. Prior experience in the industry or a general knowledge of the construction is preferred but not required. The qualified candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication habits, as well as meticulous organizational, multitasking and time management skills. The associate may be required to tour the sales center facilities and visit customers' job /construction sites.
The noise level in the work environment is quiet to noisy.
Short distance business travel within marketplace may be required for this position.
Lifting or transporting objects over a short distance is a frequent activity, but not a requirement of this position.
