Job Summary (Basic Functions): LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. (LGCOP) is actively searching for a HR Coordinator to join our team in Ravenna, OH. The HR Coordinator will be an individual contributor reporting to the HR Manager and work alongside our HR team.
This position is based full time in Ravenna, OH and is not a remote role.
What You’ll Be Doing
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
- Participates in the employee hiring process by assessing candidates' skills, industrial experience, and providing insights on hiring decisions during interviews.
- Assists with New Hire Orientation activities as required.
- Supports onboarding activities such as creating employee badge photos, ordering corporate credit cards, ordering business cards, and similar tasks.
- Assists with creating HR-specific technical learning solutions, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process workflows, training plans, and technical learning aids.
- Assists with monitoring employee progress and tracking development.
- Collaborates with the HR Manager to introduce and implement HR programs, policies, processes, and systems effectively
- Assists with implementing engagement activities for employees throughout the year.
- Supports employee communication activities at the site.
- Assists with setting up working partnerships with community area organizations.
- Supports vendor relations for HR and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) service providers.
- Supports maintenance of employee records and files.
- Schedules meetings, interviews, visits, or training sessions for the HR department.
- Participates in special HR projects as needed.
- Performs other HR duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
Requirements:
- 1 yr HR experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
- 1 yr training experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software.
- Able to work a flexible schedule to provide periodic HR services for employees who work on 2nd or 3rd shifts.
Preferred Qualification/What We’d Like to See:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 industry standards.
- Familiarity with virtual training platforms and tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
