Summary :
As an Equipment Engineer II of cylindrical batteries, the applicant will the breakdown of equipment, improve equipment for program and design to increase overall efficiency and productivity. This role requires skilled data analysis and the ability to communicate with multiple teams and operators to develop and implement solutions.
Responsibilities :
- Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) for breakdown frequency and uptime for daily production.
- Report on OEE (Micro-stop, Breakdown Maintenance(BM), and yield)
- Design/review production work orders based on Programmable Logic Controllers(PLCs)
- Monitor OEE and Line of Balance(LOB) after improvements are made
- Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment and technology to line (i.e. installation of production equipment such as pressing machine, mixer, coater, etc.)
- Collaborate with related departments to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities
- Manage plans for daily maintenance activities
- Complete daily documentation and audits, as required by position
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

- Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum of 3 years in engineering equipment experience in production/plant environment
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field required
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toed shoes
- Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Stoop, twist, bend
- Reach overhead
- Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods
