Summary
As a Controls Technician I, you will support the maintenance and troubleshooting of vendor specific PLC systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Stand-alone PLC Controller by using various inspection logic
- Monitor PLC programs (Mitsubishi and/or Siemens) developed by vendor using various inspection logic and HMI
- Support Control Engineers for incident follow-up, root cause analysis and documentation
- Documentation control system and equipment configuration changes
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot relay logic, inspection flow and control components
- Troubleshoot various status (I/O Boards, encoder, light controller, module and devices)
- Complete all safety training, policies and procedures as company requires
- Maintain 5S standards in designated working areas
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Technical Certificate in a related field is preferred but not required
- Hands on training in PLC programming, troubleshooting and hardware maintenance
- Understanding of electrical circuits and industrial systems
- Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair PLC system faults
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Experience:
- 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment through an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar
- Experience in controls and electrical systems design, automation, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing assembly equipment from an internship, co-op, entry level job role, or similar
- Exposure or education in Battery systems or processes is preferred but not required
- Experience with PLC and HMI systems
