Position Overview
The Senior Network Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's internal network infrastructure consisting of Cisco Equipment and Firepower Firewalls, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, project management, and collaboration with various departments to support both networking and systems / application needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, along with proficiency in network security practices. They should possess relevant certifications, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams and with stakeholders.
This role will require some evening and weekend hours for project completion or communication with Headquarters technical resources.
This position will report to the Sr. Manager, IT.
Primary Responsibilities
- Network Management :
Design, configure, and maintain the company's Corporate network and WiFi infrastructure consisting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and Aruba WiFi access points.
Implement and maintain network security measures, including Cisco FTD firewalls and IPSEC site to Site and Secure ClientVPNs.
Provide advanced troubleshooting for systems and applications, ensuring seamless integration with the network.
Lead network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network administration.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
