Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management principles, as well as the ability to coordinate various aspects of the project lifecycle. The Construction Administrator will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Perform project start up functions including:
- Create new project records in company accounting/pm software, Shared Drive, Update Active Jobs List
- Enter project budgets and schedule of values in accounting software (Foundation)
- Participates in the management of customer contracts, insurance cert management, and maintain customer tax exempt documentation
- Assist PM’s with project buyout for material and subcontractor procurement. This includes generating, distributing, and tracking all subcontract agreements and purchase orders, tax exempt forms, vendors insurance certs, etc
Perform monthly project functions such as:
- Generate, maintain, distribute, and track approvals of monthly AIA payment applications,
- Generate and distribute monthly company personnel (Section 3, MWBE) utilization reporting and certified payrolls to customers to accompany payment applications (this includes subcontractor reporting)
- Generate customer change orders, link to AIA payment applications to maintain an accurate contract price in company software
- Generate vendor change orders and link to subcontract agreements & purchase orders to maintain accurate vendor pricing
- Assist Site Foreman with purchasing of tools, materials not bought out at project start-up, etc.
- Coordinate critical information for the Site and Concrete divisions
Provide Job set-up for field crew for new projects:
- Transfer Items from Bid Folders to Project Folders
- Obtain latest revised plans & specs. from GC/Owner
- Print out 2x sets of Sitework & Concrete Plans per Scope
- One Field Set
- One Office Set (Hanging Binder)
- Create Book for each scope of work.
- Standard Job Dividers
- Special Sections as needed.
- Create Generic Submittals
- Continue to add Book information as received.
- Provide copies of all items/place in Foreman’s Folder Bin
- Perform project closeout
Other Duties:
- Review PAD Schedule with Estimator/Project Manager
- Assist with Generic Submittals (i.e., silt fence, mirafi)
- Assist with Site Earthwork Calculations (Future)
- Assist with take offs and building estimates (Future)
- Attend and maintain notes for weekly project and estimating meetings
- Quantify Time and Material tickets for the Project Managers
- Assist in building and maintaining our LG Evans employee Handbook
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment – high volume office
- Must be organized, a self-starter, and require minimal supervision with a can-do attitude
Experience
- Proven experience in construction administration or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction management practices is essential.
- Knowledge of AIA Payment Applications is a must.
- Knowledge of or initiative to self-teach using project management software such as Foundation, Procore, Textura, GC Pay, etc. as necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Pay: $59,070.00 - $64,119.00 per year
