What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, ATS Business Development position at LGM Pharma, LLC?
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the pipeline of Analytical Testing Services (non-CDMO ATS)
- Drive revenue opportunities by developing key markets and cultivating existing and new long-term relationships within pharmaceutical industry for both development and commercial opportunities.
- Create and follow-up on new outbound business leads primarily via cold-calls, cold-emails and referrals.
- Develop strong working relationships with both senior-level and bench-level customer contacts through telephone, email, and face-to-face contact.
- Qualify and follow-up on new inbound business leads.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations.
- Consistently document all relevant Lead, Account, Contact and Opportunity information in Salesforce. Generate and distribute reports as needed.
- Assume responsibility for all sales and administrative activities related to closing Opportunities and keeping Salesforce updated in a timely manner.
- Prepare and implement an annual sales plan and update no less than quarterly.
- Provide business forecasts annually and upon request.
- Coordinate internally with VP-Business Development to facilitate Opportunity progress and closure.
- Liaise with the SVP and Director of Quality to help qualify, progress and close ATS opportunities
- Assist with the continued development of LGM’s CDMO internal processes.
- Develop productive interdepartmental relationships within LGM and act as the “face” of the BD team in all interactions. Communicate appropriately and follow all internal processes and procedures as needed to be successful in the role.
- Coordinate internally with project management, R&D and the Quality team to ensure successful project implementation and client communication.
- Develop an understanding of LGM’s CDMO capabilities
- Cross cover with CDMO Business Development as needed.
- Assume responsibility for CDMO leads and clients as assigned.
- Interface with the marketing team to identify and develop all potential market segments and convey accurate market information regarding clients and competitors. Assist with the implementation of Marketing programs as needed.
- Support digital marketing strategy by utilizing LinkedIn and other social media platforms to share updates, identify leads, etc.
- Coordinate, attend and lead all client site visits.
- Participate in relevant conferences, symposia, trade shows, and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of BS (MS / PhD preferred) in Biology, Chemistry, or related field in the physical or life sciences required.
- Analytical testing/bench experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the drug development process is required.
- Familiarity with cGMP and GLP concepts and the NDA, ANDA, OTC, Cosmetic and Medical Device regulatory pathways and their analytical requirements
- 3 years of analytical testing sales / business development experience.
- Salesforce experience required
- Microsoft PowerPoint and presentation writing experience required
- Must possess excellent presentation, written, and verbal communications skills. Assertive communication skills required.
- Must be outgoing, energetic, self-motivated, and an organized team player.
- Enjoy interacting with people, scientific discussions, and strategic thinking and planning.
- Able to travel as required (travel will vary from 10-50%)
- Proactive, energetic self-starter with good problem-solving skills
- Able to appropriately request help and support when needed.
- Must speak fluent English.
