Job responsibilities :
Post and Apply payments to patient account
Preparing financial forms for services
Knowledge of eligibility, benefits & billing with various HMO and PPO insurance company
Experience with insurance verification and collecting payment.
Experience with full-cycle billing, coding, and claim follow-up.
General knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes
Job requirements :
Experience working in a medical office
Ability to use knowledge of correct CPT and ICD-10 coding to acquire claims payment.
Knowledge of HIPPA regulations and maintains the confidentiality of patient information (Preferred)
HS Diploma
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits, and appeal process
Attention to detail, able to prioritize workload
Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Patient Management software
Checking eligibility and benefit verification for treatments and procedure
Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if needed
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
