Job responsibilities :

  • Post and Apply payments to patient account
  • Preparing financial forms for services
  • Knowledge of eligibility, benefits & billing with various HMO and PPO insurance company
  • Experience with insurance verification and collecting payment.
  • Experience with full-cycle billing, coding, and claim follow-up.
  • General knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes

Job requirements :

  • Experience working in a medical office
  • Ability to use knowledge of correct CPT and ICD-10 coding to acquire claims payment.
  • Knowledge of HIPPA regulations and maintains the confidentiality of patient information (Preferred)
  • HS Diploma
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits, and appeal process
  • Attention to detail, able to prioritize workload
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Patient Management software
  • Checking eligibility and benefit verification for treatments and procedure
  • Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if needed
  • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness
