Position Summary
The responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
- Provide planning, design, and implementation of water resources projects, including stormwater management and treatment, urban and rural drainage solutions, stormwater capture, and bridge hydraulic design
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software
- Lead the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable solutions
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company standards
- May participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience and working knowledge with hydrology, hydraulics, and water resource modeling software. Software may include HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads Drainage & Utilities, HydroCAD, HY-8
- Proven experience in designing various projects from concept to completion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project challenges
- Working knowledge of environmental permitting processes and regulations, including NPDES, MPCA, USACE & MN DNR
- Upon receipt of an offer of employment, applicants must be able to successfully complete pre-employment onboarding requirements that will include a criminal/civil background check and drug screen, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Water Resources or a related field
- Experience working for municipalities, counties and Department of Transportation work in the State of Minnesota
- Experience in climate resilience and adaptation planning
- Knowledge of GIS tools and applications
- Desire to participate in professional organizations related to water resources
Salary Range
This position’s anticipated base salary range is $76,950- $101,325 annually. Offer will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
