About the Job
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain and other medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build trusted therapist-patient relationships, provide continuing education and tuition reimbursement opportunities, and work independently with autonomy.
- Evaluate patient's functional status and physical therapy needs
- Assist physician in developing therapy plan of care
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and/or maintain maximum functioning
- Instruct and inform participating members of the healthcare team, patient, and family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals
Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for:
- Observing and reporting patient's response to treatment and any changes in their condition
- Developing and implementing treatment plans to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of West Virginia
- Current CPR certification
- Must have a current driver's license and vehicle insurance
