Responsibilities and Expectations
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Evaluating patient functional status and physical therapy needs;
- Assisting the physician in the development of the therapy plan of care;
- Observing and reporting patient response to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician;
- Treating patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice;
- Instructing and informing participating members of the health care team, the patient, and family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
