Accounting and Business Analyst - PittsburghAre you passionate about numbers and financial strategy? Our client is seeking a skilled Accounting and Business Analyst to join their team in Pittsburgh. This role offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 and the chance to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare and review detailed monthly journal entries, ensuring full GAAP compliance.
Conduct in-depth balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
Analyze financial reserves, calculate necessary adjustments, and provide strategic recommendations.
Ensure accurate accounting across multiple legal entities on both an accrual and cash basis.
Perform daily cash reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and enforce internal controls.
Generate, review, edit, and distribute client pre-bills on a monthly basis.
Prepare and issue final invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide client accruals, financial status updates, and budget analyses.
Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, vendors, and colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
Adhere to company policies, financial controls, and compliance standards to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; experience in a law firm or professional services organization is a plus.
Hands-on experience with Aderant Expert or other sophisticated accounting systems.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
Experience with data analysis, querying, and business intelligence tools is beneficial.
Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
