LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk for a client of ours in Cleveland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining vendor relationships. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform all aspects of the accounts payable process, including proper coding and timely payment of invoices.
Review all invoices for correct invoice number, amount, and general ledger coding before approval.
Ensure all managers review and approve their invoices in a timely manner.
Post invoices from the electronic payables system to the general ledger multiple times per week.
Process payments via check, ACH, and credit card on a weekly basis.
Reconcile disputed invoices in the electronic payables system.
Record credit card statements monthly and ensure supporting documents are scanned and saved.
Record employee reimbursements through the general ledger.
Prepare and file 1099s at year-end for all companies.
Handle vendor communication and maintain the vendor master file.
Ensure all invoices are paid on time to avoid late fees and maximize available discounts.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to three years of related work experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
