Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Allendale, New Jersey (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to $62,000 per year
Type: Full-Time; 8:00 – 4:00 pm
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client’s team in Allendale, New Jersey. This is a hybrid opportunity, offering a blend of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions
Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
Maintain vendor relationships and handle inquiries
Assist with month-end closing processes
Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts payable
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounts payable
Comfortable handling a high-volume of invoices (100-150 per day)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
