Aerospace and Defense Sales Account Manager- Remote
LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Aerospace and Defense Sales Account Manager. This individual will be tasked with identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within the Aerospace and Defense sectors. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of government contracts and acquisition processes, along with a proven ability to navigate the complexities of selling in these industries. This role demands exceptional communication skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers. You will be responsible for selling a comprehensive portfolio of products and services to this account base.
Company offers : -OTE : 175K-190K ( base plus commissions) with untapped commissions, $500.00 car allowance, cell phone allowance, Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, or FSA, PTO- 20 days.
Responsibilities :
Conduct extensive market research to pinpoint potential customers and opportunities that align with the company's strengths in the Aerospace & Defense markets.
Oversee the entire sales process from initial budget discussions to final bids, ensuring successful order closures to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Develop, monitor, and continuously update an annual customer business plan to achieve assigned sales goals.
Stay informed about evolving government contracts, acquisition regulations, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with internal product management teams to advocate for customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
Attend industry events, customer meetings, trade shows, and company sales / marketing meetings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders in the aerospace & defense markets.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction, compliance, and successful project delivery.
Understand the unique needs and challenges of aerospace and defense customers and provide tailored solutions.
Communicate the value proposition of products and services, emphasizing compliance with government regulations.
Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, reports, and updates to the sales leadership team.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
At least 7 years of successful sales experience in the Aerospace, Defense, Government, and / or Military markets.
Deep understanding of government procurement processes and compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of exceeding high growth order targets.
Experience using LinkedIn / Sales Navigator for prospecting.
Experience managing large sales opportunities.
Excellent time and territory management skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Results-driven mindset.
Salesforce and Microsoft Office experience
Willingness to travel within the territory up to 40-60% of the time.
Pay Details : $175,000.00 to $190,000.00 per year
