LHH is seeking an Assistant Logistics Manager, you will assist in overseeing and coordinating the daily logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order fulfillment. You will work closely with the Logistics Manager to implement strategies that optimize shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer demands. This role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of global logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Logistics Manager in planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, transportation, and warehousing.
Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, storage, and movement of materials to prevent shortages or overstock.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, addressing any issues or delays that arise.
Support the implementation of logistics strategies aimed at optimizing transportation routes, reducing shipping costs, and improving overall supply chain efficiency.
Assist in negotiating rates and contracts with freight carriers, suppliers, and logistics service providers.
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices, in compliance with customs regulations.
Help develop and enforce safety protocols and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Coordinate with the customer service and sales teams to address any shipping-related inquiries or concerns.
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and reliability of logistics operations.
Train and mentor junior staff in logistics best practices and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related roles, preferably within a global manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and international shipping regulations.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
· Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP, WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners.
· Familiarity with customs regulations, import/export documentation, and compliance standards.
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
· Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is a plus.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
