LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced and dedicated Benefits Manager for a fantastic opportunity in the Hartford, Connecticut area. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in benefits management and will be responsible for designing, administering, and managing employee benefit programs. This role requires a strong understanding of compliance regulations, proficiency in utilizing HRIS platforms, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities :
- Design and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other benefits offerings to ensure they are competitive and cost-effective.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing payroll and benefits, including managing FMLA, ADA, and other relevant laws.
- Handle enrollments and terminations, coordinate open enrollment periods, manage vendor relationships, process benefits changes, verify billing accuracy, and manage payments.
- Provide functional expertise in HRIS platforms. Configure and maintain core functionality, prepare reports, and ensure data integrity.
- Communicate benefits offerings and updates to employees, handle inquiries, resolve issues related to benefits, and prepare benefits presentations and training materials.
- Analyze and assess the competitiveness of current benefits compared to market trends, develop and manage the benefits budget, and provide strategic recommendations to improve benefits offerings.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of benefits data, monitor and analyze benefits usage and participation rates, and report results to ensure all enrollments are accurate.
- Work closely with various departments and external vendors to design, implement, and maintain an effective benefits strategy. Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate benefits deductions.
