Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer/Planner to manage procurement and inventory processes, ensuring the availability of materials needed for production. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining system integrity within SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate vendor quotes to secure the best pricing, delivery, and quality.
- Plan and coordinate purchases to maximize cost savings and meet delivery timelines.
- Review daily MRP reports and generate purchase orders accordingly.
- Manage and enhance the Kanban system for inventory efficiency.
- Maintain accurate material records and vendor information in SAP.
- Expedite purchase orders and authorize expedited shipping when necessary.
- Collaborate with Accounting and Receiving to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Oversee the Cycle Count program, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Create corrective actions for non-conforming materials.
- Continuously assess safety stock levels to optimize inventory.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in purchasing and/or inventory control.
- Proficiency in SAP MM module and caWeb software.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
