Escrow Officer Assistant
Length : 4 Month Contract
Location : Kirkland, WA – Fully Onsite
Hours : 8am-5pm (1 hour lunch)
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Escrow Officer Assistant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will support the escrow officer in managing the administrative and clerical tasks associated with real estate transactions. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
Pre-Closing Duties :
Prepare and send opening letters and thank you acknowledgements to all parties involved.
Order and distribute title commitments.
Order and update payoff / assumption statements as requested.
Prepare receipts for all funds received from customers and / or lenders.
Order wire transfers and provide wiring instructions.
Clear title requirements.
Prepare loan packages for return to lender.
Conduct simple cash and seller carry back pre-audits.
Assist the branch manager with administrative tasks as requested.
Open refinance orders.
Coordinate builder reports, order surveys, contact lenders, obtain hazard insurance, enter basic order information into the automated system, obtain HOA information, and schedule and coordinate closing times.
Prepare copies for disbursement and closing transmittals.
Assist the Closer / Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement, as directed.
Monitor termite inspection requests and other required inspection information.
Answer customer and real estate agent questions concerning the administrative process and status of transactions on a limited basis.
Cancel files according to office procedure.
Post-Closing Duties :
Assist with pre-closing files to ensure all information is accurate and matches the original Purchase Contract.
Prepare and ship complete closing packages, ensuring all documents are properly signed by all parties.
Prepare documents for recording in different counties, ensuring compliance with recording regulations and lender requirements.
Prepare and mail both loan and owners' policies.
Prepare endorsements to policies, when applicable.
Maintain the fee account checkbook and control the mailing stamps machine.
Handle customer service calls from lenders, buyers, attorneys, realtors, insurance companies, and other parties daily.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in real estate or related field is a plus.
Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in real estate or escrow services.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with automated systems used in real estate transactions.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and legal documents.
Pay Details : $25.00 to $26.50 per hour
