Position Overview :  The Director of Human Resources will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing all facets of human resources practices and processes within our organization. This pivotal role involves the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that are in alignment with the overall business strategy. Additionally, the HR Director will manage the recruitment and selection process, foster a positive work environment, and ensure the smooth operation of HR functions.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that are in harmony with the overarching business strategy.
  • Serve as a bridge between management and employees by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues that may arise.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to ensure the acquisition of top talent.
  • Support the current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a positive working environment that promotes employee well-being and productivity.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance and aligns with organizational goals.
  • Maintain the pay plan and benefits program to ensure competitive and fair compensation for employees.
  • Assess training needs and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through the use of HR metrics and data analysis.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout all aspects of human resource management to mitigate risks and protect the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Management is essential.
  • PHR / SHRM certifications are required to demonstrate professional expertise.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience in a human resources role.
  • At least 5 years of experience in human relations, showcasing the ability to manage employee interactions effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization, including influencing decision-makers and setting manager expectations.
  • Proven experience in developing and evolving an organization that interfaces with employees, vendors, department hiring managers, unions, and technology.
  • Proficiency with modern HRIS and Talent Management systems to streamline HR processes.
  • Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with Paycom is a plus.
  • Union experience is preferred.
  • Pay Details : $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
