Strong experience providing technical support for desktop systems and firm applications.
Minimum five years of recent network experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
Proficient in Windows operating systems and related software.
Experience with phone systems, specifically programming and deploying phones for firm use.
Familiarity with WSUS, patch management, and Cisco Voice systems.
Ability to work collaboratively with teams across various departments.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities:
Desktop and Application Support: Provide hands-on support for desktop systems and firm applications. Respond to service requests via email and phone calls to the Network Support team.
Desktop Deployment & Upgrades: Deploy standard firm images to new desktop computers and assist in the replacement or upgrade of desktop systems as needed.
Application Deployment: Deploy applications to firm desktop PCs as required, ensuring smooth installation and functionality.
System Updates & Upgrades: Collaborate with Network Support to deploy updates or application upgrades to firm PCs, maintaining software security and functionality.
Patch Management: Manage and maintain the WSUS system for Windows desktop patches, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure.
Phone Deployment & Configuration: Program and deploy phones for firm employees, ensuring voicemail and related features are correctly set up and functional.
Cisco Voice Support: Assist in the implementation and ongoing support of Cisco Voice functions across the firm s offices.
Application Support Collaboration: Work alongside the Application Support team to provide assistance with firm-specific applications, resolving issues and troubleshooting when necessary.
Issue Escalation: Escalate complex issues to other members of the Network Support team when required, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
Request Coordination: Track and follow up on open Network Support requests, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Laptop Setup & Coordination: Setup new laptops for loaner and individual attorney use, ensuring configuration and necessary software are installed. Maintain coordination for laptop check-out lists for loaner and assigned devices.
Equipment Moves, Adds, and Changes: Coordinate and assist with PC and phone equipment moves, adds, and changes, ensuring the proper functionality and setup of devices.
Facilities Coordination: Work with facilities to ensure PCs and phones are correctly set up for summer associates and pre-BAR attorneys.
Subscription Management: Assist with tracking and renewing application subscriptions, ensuring licenses are up-to-date and properly accounted for.
Expense Management: Assist the Director of IT with tracking and managing expenses related to IT operations.
User Account Requests: Serve as a backup resource for processing user account requests for new hires, as well as handling termination requests as needed.
Network Administrator Backup: Provide backup support for network administrator functions, including system and database access/permissions, as well as ethical screening tasks.
Work Environment:
This position will require five days in the office to start. Once acclimated to the role and at management's discretion, there is the opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule of three days in the office offering state-of-the-art workplace design and technology, and is located in one of the greatest places in the world to live and work just minutes from some of Southern California s best beach communities and shopping and a short drive from both desert and local mountain resort communities.
Salary Range:
Annual Salary Range: $105,000 $112,000 depending on experience.
Pay Details: $105,000.00 to $112,000.00 per year
