What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Specialist position at LHH Recruitment Solutions?
LHH is looking for a part-time Operations Specialist in the Chapel Hill, NC area. Hours will be Monday- Friday 8 am -12 pm. If you have experience and are looking for a part-time position then apply.
Key Responsibilities :
- Request and assess supplier quotations.
- Create purchase orders for both customer and internal needs.
- Oversee and restock office supplies.
- Ensure timely submission and follow-up of quotes.
- Verify and track purchase orders to meet lead times and delivery schedules.
- Maintain effective communication with suppliers, sales, and logistics teams regarding updates or changes.
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple third-party warehouses, conducting regular counts for accuracy.
- Manage customer inventory as needed, coordinating timely deliveries with the logistics team.
- Report and track any damaged materials.
- Ensure the accuracy of all customs clearance documents.
- Work with customs brokers to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
- Assist with daily administrative tasks.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
