Job Title : Patient Information Coordinator (PIC)
Location : Nashua, NH
Worksite : 100% onsite, Nashua, NH - 03060
Hours : 5 : 00 am - 1 : 00 pm, rotating holidays and weekends (usually every other weekend and holiday)
Type : Temp to Perm - Full Time
Pay : $22-23 / hr
Position Overview : Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Information Coordinator (PIC) to join the team. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth billing process for patients during their hospital stay or visit. The PIC will be responsible for verifying patient demographics, introducing the billing process, and entering insurance information into the system. This position requires some patient interaction, including in-person visits to confirm details and provide information.
Key Responsibilities :
Verify and enter patient insurance information into the system.
Confirm patient demographics and introduce the billing process.
Handle the initial steps of the billing process to minimize patient confusion.
Conduct in-person visits to patients to confirm details and provide information.
Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to ensure accurate data entry and patient information management.
Provide administrative support to hospitalists, allowing them to focus on patient care.
Distribute patient information and daily rounding lists to clinicians and nursing stations.
Assist with scheduling, note-taking, and meeting setup as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
Qualifications :
6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role (e.g., patient service representative, registrar, patient access, medical assistant, unit coordinator).
Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD 9 & 10) is preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
Proficiency in data entry and computer literacy.
