Job Title : Payroll Specialist
Shift Information : Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (08 : 00 - 17 : 00)
Duration : Immediate start, project ends on 2 / 28 / 2025
We are urgently hiring a Payroll Specialists to join our client’s team. The role involves managing payroll data entry and processing to ensure accurate and timely wage payments. You will support various payroll functions, including tax filings, report generation, and resolving payroll-related inquiries.
Key Responsibilities :
Audit employee time and attendance records for accuracy and consistency, addressing discrepancies with supervisors.
Calculate and process overtime, shift differentials, and other payroll adjustments.
Ensure compliance with payroll policies, state laws, and federal regulations.
Handle tax deductions, benefits, and other payroll deductions, including manual payments when necessary.
Process quarterly taxes, W-2 forms, and garnishments.
Coordinate direct deposit programs and manage paycheck distribution.
Address payroll questions from employees and supervisors, assisting them in understanding payroll calculations and deductions.
Maintain and update payroll records and reports, providing statistical or accounting information as needed.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Experience : Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience, preferably with a large employer.
Certifications : Certified Payroll Professional (preferred).
Skills :
Strong analytical, financial management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work efficiently under multiple demands and tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Collaborative and effective across departments and disciplines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, automated time and attendance systems, and HRIS systems.
Pay Details : $26.80 per hour
