Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal // Chicago, IL
Are you a skilled paralegal looking to join a dynamic team? LHH is actively recruiting for several direct hire Personal Injury Litigation Paralegals for our clients in Chicago, IL. Our clients are looking for dedicated professionals who can handle a variety of essential tasks in the field of personal injury law.
Compensation: $65,000-$95,000
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively manage communication with clients and opposing parties.
Draft and file important legal documents, including complaints, motions, and discovery responses.
Conduct comprehensive case intake and gather crucial client and case information.
Organize and review medical records, police reports, and insurance documentation.
Coordinate depositions, medical examinations, and court appearances.
Maintain up-to-date case files and ensure all relevant information is accurately recorded.
Prepare detailed settlement demands and assist in negotiating settlements with insurance adjusters.
Support attorneys in trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, subpoenas, and witness lists.
Track deadlines for filings, hearings, and discovery responses to ensure timely compliance.
Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate or relevant experience in personal injury law.
Strong understanding of the litigation process, legal, and medical terminology.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
