Safety Coordinator
Role Overview : We are seeking a dedicated Safety Coordinator to join our team. This is a new position aimed at establishing and maintaining a robust safety culture across our manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing safety procedures, setting up safety committees, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
Establish Safety Culture : Develop and implement safety procedures and policies across all sites.
Track and Report Accidents : Ensure compliance with legal requirements by tracking and reporting workplace accidents.
Safety Committees : Set up and manage safety committees at each site, ensuring they are effective and active.
Site Visits : Regularly visit all sites to monitor safety practices and provide guidance.
Training and Presentations : Conduct safety training sessions and presentations to promote safety culture.
Workers' Compensation : Participate in workers' compensation meetings to ensure standards are met.
Signage and Policies : Implement safety signage and policies, including lifting policies.
Collaboration : Work with upper management to set safety strategies and with local management to ensure adherence.
Audits : Conduct regular safety audits to ensure consistency and compliance.
Travel : Travel to work sites as needed (approximately 25% travel).
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a safety role, preferably in manufacturing. Experience with OSHA or similar regulatory bodies is preferred.
Skills : Strong ability to establish and promote a safety culture. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Language : Spanish-speaking preferred.
Certifications : OSHA certifications preferred.
Work Environment : Plant
Schedule : Day shift, on-site.
Pay Details : $65,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year
