In this exciting role, you\u2019ll identify and mitigate legal risks, develop solutions, and advise on strategies that enable business success. This position is 100% remote , offering flexibility and the opportunity to work across global projects. This is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities :
Advise business teams (including marketing, sales, IT, and operations) on compliance with privacy laws, collaborating with the Privacy Office on projects with regional and global scope.
Provide guidance on privacy-related terms in agreements including vendor, SaaS, technology, and confidentiality agreements.
Advise on product strategy with a focus on data privacy laws, consumer rights, partner relationships, and business objectives.
Draft privacy policies, notices, disclosures, FAQs, and communications to ensure business unit compliance.
Provide counsel to sales and marketing teams on privacy implications of various marketing initiatives (online advertising, mobile apps, social media, etc.).
Partner with Information Security, Data Governance, Risk, and Audit teams to mitigate privacy compliance risks, including handling cybersecurity and data incidents.
Required Skills & Experience :
Expertise in at least one major data privacy framework such as GDPR, GLBA, or CPRA.
Experience interpreting regulatory guidance and drafting privacy notices, policies, and procedures.
Proven ability to advise corporate clients on compliance matters.
Experience negotiating and drafting contracts.
Flexibility and willingness to handle a wide range of legal matters.
Excellent oral and written communication skills .
Ability to work cross-functionally with business partners at all levels.
Desired Skills & Experience :
Experience in the payments industry or financial services industry.
Ability to engage in technical discussions with IT teams on ad tech, data anonymization, and security / access controls related to cloud computing.
CIPP / US or CIPP / E certification .
Professional Qualifications :
J.D. degree or an equivalent law degree with strong academic performance.
2 years of experience practicing law.

Pay Details : $80.00 to $90.00 per hour
