Supply Chain Specialist
LHH is teaming up with a global wine and spirits manufacturer in Benecia, CA in search of an experienced Supply Chain Specialist. This direct hire position oversees and optimizes end-to-end supply chain operations.
The role requires a proactive and hands-on leader with extensive knowledge in supply chain best practices, international logistics, and sustainability principles to drive innovation and efficiency. The Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve company objectives, streamline processes, and reduce costs while ensuring regulatory compliance. Candidates should bring advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and data analysis skills to foster productive supplier relationships and deliver measurable, impactful improvements in the supply chain.
Main Duties and Responsibilities :
Coordination of International Freight : Oversee the transportation of goods by sea and air, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency.
Preparation of Customs Documentation : Prepare and review technical documentation required for customs processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Lead and oversee supply chain operations to ensure efficiency and alignment with business goals and customer demands.
Provide a deep-dive analysis of supply chain metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Drive supply chain optimization initiatives, including inventory management, demand planning, and logistics operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels, and ensure product availability.
Manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure service level agreements are met and evaluate performance.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, manage logistics solutions, and coordinate risk management strategies.
Lead cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiencies and reduce operational costs.
Optimize resources to implement advanced supply chain technologies and software.
Perform all duties as assigned, but not limited to this job description.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field required.
5 years of experience in supply chain management or a similar role, ideally within the wine industry or manufacturing environment.
Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP or CSCA preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with forecasting and planning tools.
Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis tools, ERP, and supply chain software (MS Dynamics).
Proven track record in strategic problem-solving, decision-making, and implementing process improvements.
Advanced negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships.
Knowledge of trade regulations and compliance, with experience managing risk in a supply chain context.
International supply chain management experience preferred.
Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices in supply chain operations.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

Salary : $74,000-$87,000 / year, depending on experience
Hours : Full-time
