Are you a proactive and organized person with a passion for working in a healthcare setting? LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Unit Secretary in Antioch, CA for a 3 month contract role with the possibility to extend. This role involves providing administrative support through the coordination of daily and long-range staffing and scheduling needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, with exposure to staffing and timekeeping practices. Shift : Variable shifts, 5x8 (days or evenings)
Key Responsibilities :
Schedule staff based on availability, skill level, and patient care requirements.
Evaluate patient needs and unit resources to determine appropriate patient placement.
Maintain timekeeping records and function as a Kronos Timekeeper.
Perform information management functions, including maintaining databases and preparing reports.
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Ensure routine and priority tasks are completed within established time frames.
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment by managing inventory and arranging for equipment repairs.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure privacy and safety.
Preferred Experience :
1 year of experience in a Unit Secretary or similar role.
Exposure to staffing and timekeeping practices.
Skills and Knowledge :
Strong analytical abilities to manage staffing systems.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills to work with a variety of personalities.
Decisive with the ability to work independently and make staffing / payroll decisions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Epic, and related information systems.
Ability to interpret data and instructions in various formats.
Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
Pay Details : $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
