What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Consultant position at LHH?
LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for an Accounting Consultant with a background in the construction and engineering industry to assist our client, on a part-time basis, in Middlesex County, NJ. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Sage 300 CRE implementation and use and will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring an accounting team, providing best practices on Sage 300 CRE use, and documenting internal controls and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
- Optimize Sage 300 CRE software, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Document and maintain internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Analyze financial data to ensure profitability and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective communication.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the construction and engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Sage 300 CRE software and its implementation.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Compensation:
$90-$125/hr.
