Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to work a contract assignment for our well respected client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, leadership skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day financial operations. As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the accounting department, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and play a critical role in the preparation of financial reports and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax filings, financial reporting, and audits.
- Coordinate the preparation of internal and external financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data for budgeting and forecasting.
- Assist with the annual budget process, variance analysis, and financial planning.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance accounting operations and reduce costs.
- Stay current with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.
