Job Title: Benefits Administrator (Long-Term Contract)
Location: Newark, NJ (On-Site)
Contract Duration: 18 Months
Pay Rate: Up to $38 per hour
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator for our client to oversee and manage employee benefits programs for their Newark-based organization. This long-term contract role requires strong knowledge of benefits administration, compliance regulations, and employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and supplementary benefits.
- Process enrollments, changes, and terminations while ensuring compliance with state policies and regulations.
- Maintain timely and accurate submission of benefits documentation and updates to vendors.
Employee Support:
- Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance on benefits enrollment, coverage options, and claims processes.
- Conduct benefits orientation for new hires and ongoing education sessions.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate employee benefits records and ensure data integrity.
- Manage benefits databases while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Analyze benefits data to identify opportunities for program improvements or cost savings.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with benefits vendors and service providers to ensure efficient delivery of benefits.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve issues as needed.
Policy Development:
- Assist in developing and revising benefits policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies align with organizational regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in benefits administration, with at least 3 years in health & welfare administration.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employee benefits programs, state/federal regulations, and compliance requirements. Expertise in statutory disability plans, short/long-term disability, and ADA/FEHA/FMLA/ERISA/USERRA compliance.
- Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in benefits management software, plan design, and Microsoft Office Suite.
