LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Newark, NJ. This is a 100% on-site, full-time, permanent position offering competitive pay and a collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage general ledger entries and adjustments.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Work closely with management to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial best practices.
- Experience handling payroll, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
