Senior Business/Commercial Litigation Paralegal (hybrid) New York, NY
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Business/Commercial Litigation Paralegal.The ideal Candidate will have at least 5 years of recent experience and be knowledgeable in business/commercial litigation including but not limited to (business disputes, purchases and sales of business).The candidate will be responsible for legal research, legal writing and primarily supporting attorneys, and e-discovery.This candidate will also collect and organize documents and information from various sources at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the projects they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft routine legal documents and conduct legal research
- Well versed in e-discovery practices and procedures
- Maintain case from inception to trial
- E-filing documents in state and federal courts as required
- Assist and meet with clients and attorneys, maintaining valued relationships
- Facilitate organization strategies to meet attorney deadlines efficiently
- Participate in fact investigation and assist with all aspects of case management
- Adhere to state and federal compliance regulations/laws while maintaining the proper storage and confidentiality of client information
Qualifications
- 5 recent years of experience as a Business/Commercial Litigation Paralegal
- Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal certificate and commensurate experience
- Knowledgeable in various case management software
- Excellent Written, Oral, and Strategic skills and must be an effective communicator
- Exponential Collaboration efforts and skills with a legal team
- Knowledge of standard MS Office Suite and Research Search Engines
